The 2019 ICEM conference will take place at the FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee from Sept. 18 to 21 .

Theme of the conference: Emerging Innovations in Educational Media

Emerging technologies are changing the landscape of educational media. From the introduction of virtual reality and augmented reality to the transformative capacity of big data analytics, the way we thinking about educational media is changing rapidly. For the 2019 ICEM we will explore the next phase of educational media by emphasizing the cutting edge of what's possible. The theme will focus on the new possibilities in hardware integrations, the forefront of sensor-based interactive classrooms, and the rapidly increasing opportunities for scaled interactive training throughout the world.




Registration includes all breaks, lunch during the conference, access to conference sessions, panels, and general sessions on Sept. 19-20.

Conference Submissions

Conference Submissions will open in November 2018. Please check back here for updates on conference submission requirements and other important information.

Types of Submission:


  • Workshops:

Wednesday September 18th will be comprised exclusively of workshops. Half day and full day workshops are priced separately from the rest of the conference. Workshop submissions are a great way to help promote skill development.

  • Full papers: research reports, up to 15 pages
  • Short papers: best practice sharing, up to 5 pages
  • Posters: 1-2 pages
  • Demos: 1-2 pages
