In 2026 the ICoME and ICEM conference will be hosted by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, a public research university located in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, United States. As the flagship campus of the University of Hawaiʻi System, the university comprises 17 schools and colleges and offers a wide range of academic programs, including 93 bachelor’s, 84 master’s, and 51 doctoral degree programs, as well as several professional, post-baccalaureate, and certificate programs.
The Mānoa campus is widely recognized for its natural setting, distinctive architecture, and status as an accredited arboretum. Often described as welcoming and diverse, it provides a multicultural academic environment. Its architecture is frequently cited as a notable example of “Tropical Modernism,” with buildings designed to take advantage of the island’s natural light and breezes (source: https://2026.icome.education).
