CALL FOR PROPOSALS: 2023 AECT INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
We invite you to submit a proposal for the 2023 AECT International Convention! The convention brings together researchers and practitioners interested in learning and instructional design, performance improvement, and educational uses of technology related to:
- practices that support learning and engagement
- inclusive methods and strategies / inclusive theoretical and methodological approaches
- emerging and established approaches to the design and development of learning tools and environments.

ETR&D Special Call for Papers: Learning Through Design and Maker Education
We are seeking manuscripts that compile contemporary and multidisciplinary research in this burgeoning area, with the goal of encouraging investigators to contribute to the growing empirical literature on learning through design, pedagogy and practice, and maker technology in maker education. Research topics to be addressed include but are not limited to: Learning design meshing pedagogy and practice to drive learning in maker education Development of empirically driven conceptual and analytical frameworks for assessing making Uses and tensions around technology (digital or analog) in learning through design Understanding the interplay and dynamics of teaching and learning interactions, among the learner, educator/tutor and technology in making contexts Critical perspectives involving issues of power and equity in maker education across contexts International perspectives on technological, practical, empirical, and conceptual aspects of learning through design and maker education
